Australian Bushfire Relief

Many hands make light work.

You know the story; our beautiful country is burning, its forests ravaged by a catastrophic bushfire season - the worst Australia has ever seen. You know the statistics; the brushfires in Australia have scorched over 10 million hectares, multiple lives lost and thousands of homes, too. Adding to this, an almost unbelievable number, 1.25 billion of the most-unique animals on the planet (koalas, kangaroos, kookaburras, cockatoos and so many more) have perished while many thousands more are injured and/or homeless.

Australian Fires Support

Here’s how you can help:

You may not know how to aid in bushfire relief, but that’s where we come in. Simply gift a Petals bouquet between now and Jan.31 and we’ll donate 10% of the purchase price to the WWF’s Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund . The VIC and NSW fires continue to wreak havoc on our landscape and while we won’t understand the true extent of the damage until the fires clear, we do know that the WWF Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund will deliver:

  1. Wildlife Response: including partnering with wildlife response organisations, communities and scientists across this great country for a swift, effective response and recovery at scale.
  2. Habitat Restoration: for people and nature, which includes restoring forests and damaged wildlife habitat, ending deforestation, and cultivating habitat connectivity, core habitat and Indigenous and rural fire management.
  3. Protection for Australia: drive innovative solutions to help mitigate climate change, advocating for climate preparedness, species adaptation and long-term wildlife and nature conservation efforts towards securing Australia’s natural resources for people and nature well into the future.

Buy flowers to support bushfire relief

We can all help WWF-Australia deploy the emergency funds necessary to care for our injured wildlife and when the fires clear, aid in restoring the forest homes our koalas, kangaroos and other animals had taken away.

The fires may have hit us hard, but we’ll never stop fighting. If you’re planning to celebrate an anniversary, birthday or just because, give the gift of flowers and together we’ll make an impact.
